A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO ORGANIC GARDENING AT HOME
JEFF DICKINSON will view organic gardening from a system’s
perspective.
Jeff is the Director and Farmer of the Stratford
Ecological Center in Delaware, Ohio – a 236-acre experimental education
center and organic demonstration/research farm that promotes ecological and
agricultural literacy for over 3000 children annually.
Jeff has been involved in organic and sustainable agriculture for the last
25 years, serving as the Horticulture and Agriculture Director for the Meadowcreek
Project in Fox, Arkansas; the Project Manager for the Sustainable Agriculture
Program at the Ohio State University and the Ohio Department of Agriculture/OSU
Demonstration Farm in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, spending the last 15 years working
at the Stratford Ecological Center. He did his B.S. and M.S. work at OSU
in horticulture, and completed his Ph.D. in Entomology in 1995.
With so much current emphasis on organic foods, this program will provide
valuable information for the organic gardener. As always, guests are welcome – bring
a friend or neighbor who might also be interested in this topic.
Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
